The Russian water polo players lost to Serbia in the quarterfinals of the European Championship, held in Belgrade. The home team won 15: 5 (3: 2, 4: 1, 4: 2, 4: 0).
In the semifinals, the Serbs will play with the team of Greece, which is in its fourth match of the finals defeated Spain (6: 2). In the other quarterfinals will meet Italy with Montenegro and Hungary and Croatia.
