Appointed as the new head coach of the Russian national biathlon

The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Alexander Kaspiarovich approved as head coach of the Russian national team Biathlon, the official site of RRF.

Last season the position of head coach of Russia remained vacant. This post has been abolished in the season-2011/2012.

The last head coach of the national team was Valery Polhovsky. Last season, head coach for the men’s team was Alexander Kaspiarovich, female headed by Vladimir Korolkevich.

Under the leadership of Anton Shipulin Kaspiarovich won pursuit silver at the World Championships in Kontiolahti 2015 and finished second in the overall World Cup 2015 . The men’s team of the season won the crystal globe in the standings relays.

Athletes preparing for the season in the first team ( Alexei Volkov, Anton Babikov Alexander Petchenkin Alexei blind), won four gold medals in the European Championships.

Kaspiarovich works with teams of Russia’s biathlon different levels of ( the junior, youth, basic structure) since 1986. From 1997 to 2001 he was the coach of the basic structure of the women’s team. Over the years, biathletes team won six medals in major competitions.

Including became world champions Olga Pyleva, BOGALIY Galina Kukleva Svetlana Ishmuratova ( Relay, World Championship – 2001) Olga Pyleva, Svetlana Chernousov, Galina Kukleva, Albina Akhatova ( Relay, World Championship – 2000), Anna Volkova, Olga Romasko, Svetlana Ishmuratova Albina Akhatova ( team race, the World Cup – 1998).

From 2002 to 2004 worked as a senior Kaspiarovich coach junior teams, from 2004 to 2014-th – the senior reserve team coach. In the season 2013/2014 he participated in the preparations for the Olympic Games medalist Evgeny Garanicheva 2014 and Olympic champion Alexei Volkov.
