WADA revoked the accreditation of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory – RBC

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) revoked the accreditation of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, it was reported on the website of the agency.

According to WADA experts, Moscow laboratory does not comply with the International Standard for Laboratories (ISL) and related technical documents.

The activities of the laboratory had been suspended on 10 November. The day before, experts from the World Anti-Doping Agency accused the Ministry of Sports of Russia and FSB of interfering in the work of the accredited laboratory. According to the agency, in late 2014 the head of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory Gregory Rodchenkov personally ordered to destroy the 1417 doping tests before the test.

After that WADA has recognized the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) inadequate standards. World Anti-Doping Agency believes that the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and RUSADA ignored data on the use of illicit drugs by Russian athletes.

November 13 World Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) at the time pushed the All-Russian Athletics Federation of competition under its auspices. Because of this, the Russian athletes could miss the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which will be held in August this year.
