According to Peskov, in the negotiations in an expanded format was attended by members of the senior management of the Russian Federation. “The negotiations were long enough, the subject of the negotiations is understandable,” – he added.
“Questions, of course, the fight against terrorism by extremist groups, issues related to the extension of the Russian operations to support the offensive of the Syrian armed forces. However, he did not specify whether it was about the future of Bashar al-Assad.
