In Kazakhstan we are convinced that the solution for players in the CHL will soon be revised – BBC

The Director General of the Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation Yuri Zverev said that the decision of Ministry of Sports of Russia considers the Belarusians and Kazakhs players in the CHL is an unfriendly step in sports and in other areas of cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. He hopes that in the near future, this decision will be reconsidered.

«The adoption of such a document by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, which is directed against Kazakhstan and Belarus hockey players, is an unfriendly step, both in sports and in other areas of cooperation between our countries.

This has a negative impact on all the players eligible to play for the national teams of Belarus and Kazakhstan. All this runs counter to previously concluded between the two countries agreements.

It should be noted also that the date of creation and to this day the CHL has positioned itself as an international league, confirming what – the geography of foreign teams from season to season continues to expand. It seems as international competitions, and the agreement EAEC obliges countries to equal treatment of citizens in our countries.

Another vivid example of our shared desire to expand cooperation not only within the Customs Union and the EAEC – last season Belarusian Federation has canceled the limit on Russian players in his league, but this season we went to meet Belarusians and Russians in the championship of Kazakhstan – the citizens of these countries are now not included in the limit of six foreign players.

Kazakhstan Hockey Federation is deeply convinced that in the near future innovation with the legions will be reviewed, common sense will prevail and the restrictive measures in relation to the citizens of Belarus and Kazakhstan in the Russian competition will be removed, “- said in a statement issued to official site Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation washer.
