MEPs support the deprivation of Russia the right to host the World Cup in 2018 if it is proved that that right has been received through corruption. It is said in a statement posted on the website of the European Parliament. The text states that MEPs support the head of the Audit Commission FIFA Domenico Scala, who said that Russia and Qatar need to deprive championships in 2018 and 2022 if it is proved that the right to host the Mundial because they received bribes.

Earlier, representatives of FIFA said that to deprive Russia and Qatar the right to host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022 no legal basis. Later the European Parliament (EP) on Thursday’s session in Strasbourg passed a resolution on the situation surrounding FIFA, the organization calls on President Sepp Blatter to resign immediately, replaced by interim.
