Deputy Sports Minister Yury Nagornykh shared his opinion on the decision of the executive committee FFKKR not included in the Russian national team for the European Championship 2016 Adelina Sotnikova and Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva.

Recall Figure Skating Federation of Russia on the basis of the national championship, held in Yekaterinburg, approved the national team for the European Championship. The structure includes athletes, who took first and second place in the tournament and the third nominee in each discipline offered coaching advice. No Sotnikova nor Tuktamysheva in the squad for the European championship were not included.
In the championship of Russia Sotnikova took the sixth place, gaining for the short and the program 197.98 points. Tuktamysheva, earning a total of 194.74 points, became the ninth. The first tournament took place on Eugene Medvedev, scored 234.88 points. Silver Elena won Radionova, bronze – Anna Pogorilaya. This trio will represent Russia in the women’s figure skating at the European Championships, which will be held in Bratislava from 25 to 31 January.
