Former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli may be next summer to lead the St. Petersburg “Zenith”, according to “Izvestia».

In the middle of September, the current head coach of “Zenith” Andre Villas-Boas said he would leave the team in May 2016 after the end of the season for family reasons.

According to “Izvestia”, Prandelli himself expressed a desire to work with the St. Petersburg club, after which its agents contacted the leadership of “Zenith”. The details of the negotiations are not reported.

Earlier, among the candidates for the post of head coach of the “Zenith” called another Italian Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo Jardim Portuguese. Ancelotti at the end of the current season will be headed by the Munich “Bavaria”, succeeding Josep Guardiola. Jardim still directs “Monaco».
