The cost of the reconstruction of the Grand Sports Arena stadium “Luzhniki” in Moscow can grow to 3 billion rubles due to the weakening rubles, told “RIA Novosti” deputy mayor of Moscow on urban policy and the construction of Marat Khusnullin on 20 December. “The cost, of course, will increase,” – he said, explaining that the reconstruction of the stadium plan to use imported materials. Deputy mayor stressed that the authorities are not going to save on quality of the main arena of the FIFA World Cup 2018. “If there is a cheaper analog, will still take what’s best,” – said Khusnullin. Despite this, the official said, the construction cost of the seat in the “Luzhniki” will be the smallest among the stadiums of similar size.
