In the US, the court found the evidence in the case of the Russian hockey club of the National Hockey League (NHL), “Los Angeles Kings” Vyacheslav Voinov enough to start his trial. The next court hearing held on December 29, reports Tass.
Voinov was arrested Oct. 20 on suspicion of causing bodily harm to his wife Martha Varlamovoj. He was released on bail, but, despite the refusal of the spouses to bring charges against him, it was still a criminal case. A preliminary hearing was held on December 15 at the court of the city of Torrance, California. Voinov himself declared his complete innocence. Varlamov is also actively pursuing innocent wife and her lawyer works in conjunction with the defenders of the accused. Police spokesman Redondo Beach, however, argues that the wife of the Russian hockey player said about the beatings by her husband, according to LA Times.
