Saul Alvarez defeated Miguel Cotto and won the WBC middleweight title – Soviet Sport

In Las Vegas Boxing evening ended, the highlight of which was the fight between Mexico’s Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
 

More experienced Cotto by better movement on his feet preferable looked in the early rounds, but then the Mexicans took the initiative and began to communicate more emphasis and precision.

All three judges at the end of 12 rounds gave the victory to the Mexican – 117: 111, 119: 109, 118: 110.

Now, a record Canelo – 46 wins, 1 loss (against Floyd Mayweather) and 1 draw.

Alvarez won the vacant championship belt WBC middleweight champion. It is expected that in the next match he will meet with Kazakh Gennady Golovkin.
