Djokovic won the final tournament in London – BBC Russian

The first racket of the world, Serb Novak Djokovic beat Swiss Roger Federer in the final of the final tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in London.

Despite losing to Federer in the group stage the same tournament in the final two sets Serb enough to beat the Swiss, “seeded” the third. The match ended with the score 6: 3, 6: 4.

Thus, the 28-year-old Djokovic became the first tennis player to win the final tournament four years in a row. Previously, he also won the tournament in 2008.

“It was a long season, but the best in my life,” – he said after the game.

This season, Djokovic won already 11th title. He has won three tournaments of “Grand Slam” – the Australian Open and the US, as well as Wimbledon. In just one year he won 82 games and lost six, half of which – Federer.

34-year-old Federer is the owner of record for the number of tournaments won in his career series “Grand Slam.” Such titles in his 17, Djokovic – is 10.
