Record holder Yana and other heroes – BBC

The ninth day of the European game has become one of the most successful for the Russian team: suffice it to say that only a gold pantry winning team joined the 11 highest order. As many as three gold on account of the artist-gymnast Yana Kudryavtseva, which became the most titled athlete of the Baku-2015.

Even a simple enumeration of all the gold medal winners of the ninth day of the European Games would take an entire article. Not to mention the silver award, which turned out to be so rich in Sunday evening. But do not call the names of all the heroes of the day, of course, would be wrong.

Just three won gold gymnast Yana Kudryavtseva-artist – in the exercises with the ball, clubs and ribbon. Earlier, 16-year-old athlete managed to be the champion of the Games in Baku in the round. Today Kudryavtsev made the most titled athlete of the European game at the moment – Yana one gold more than the colleagues from gymnastics, Olympic champion Aliya Mustafina.

It’s time to remind you that next year we are waiting for the Olympics to Rio, and everything goes to the fact that it Kudryavtseva will go there as the first issue of the Russian national team in traditionally “our” sport.

Another Russian gold in rhythmic gymnastics at the bank Margarita Mamun (it’s the only personal ending, which is not selected Kudryavtseva), the successful exercise with a hoop, and our group (Anastasia Maximov, Sophia buffoon, Tatareva Anastasia, Maria and Diana Tolkacheva Borisov), which became the best in the ribbon exercise. Gold medals could be six, but the girl dropped the subject in the final exercise with clubs and hoops, because of which fell back to last place.

Thus, the “artist” was shown in Baku almost absolute result: six gold medals out of seven possible.

The most enthusiastic words deserve and Russian acrobats duo Marina Chernova Pataraya and George, who on Sunday became the three-time champion of the European games after winning the all-around individually and dynamic balance of the program. Even pity that acrobatics – non-Olympic sport. Already very positive impression left the competition. We are confident that many viewers they have the opening: it is difficult to remember when tumbling could still get on the air nationwide television.

Unfortunately, that never happened on Sunday to climb to the highest step of the podium in the Russian acrobatics group: winners of all-round Valery Belkin, Julia Nikitina and Jeanne Parhomets and in certain types of steel, double Second, both times losing favorites of the judges from Belgium.

gymnasts will compete in the number of artists to earn gold and tramplinisty. Champions Games in individual competition became Dmitry Ushakov and Yana Pavlova. And then paired with Michael Miller and Anna Kornetskoy Dmitriy and Yana were two-time winners of the Games in Baku in synchronized diving. Recall that Olympic are currently only two personal discipline.

By a strange coincidence, most of the gold medals were won by the Russian team in the morning and afternoon. But the evening turned out to be in Baku for our team silver. Although several finals involving our athletes attracted a great chance for gold.

Silver pantry on Sunday joined the volleyball players, people dropped Dmitri Barsuk and Jaroslav Koshkarev. Alas, in the “golden match” Russians gave the duo from Latvia Martins Plavinsu and Haralds Pers: losing the first set, managed to take the second, but the third party and the concentration of power is not enough.

handsome tattooed Nikita Schleicher was second in the pole tower, giving the Briton Matthew Lee. And Catherine Nekrasov took a similar position in the pole 3-meter springboard, behind compatriot Lee Catherine Torrance.

On the one hand, in terms of severe sports mentality, silver – not gold. Some even say that not medal. But we, the fans, do not forget that for any medal is still a lot of work, sweat, injuries, etc.
