Striker Poland repeated the record of the European Football Championship

The national team of Poland in the final match of the European Championship qualifying tournament in 2016 home team beat Ireland with a score of 2: 1.

The winning goal late in the first half, scoring leader hosts Robert Lewandowski. This goal gave the Polish team in the final of Euro 2016.

At the same time attacking the Munich “Bavaria” repeated the record performance of European Championship qualifying tournament, scoring for the entire cycle of 13 goals. Earlier, a similar result in 2007 has made Northern Ireland striker David Healy.

Four balls Lewandowski scored in the opening qualifying match against Gibraltar ( 7: 0 on the road) . Three more – in the home game with Georgia ( 4: 0). At the end of September Lewandowski scored five goals in nine minutes in the championship match of Germany against “Wolfsburg”. “Bavaria” won with a score of 5: 1, and the Polish striker scoring all the balls from the 51 th to the 60 th minute of the meeting.

In the match against “Wolfsburg” striker came off the bench at half-time in place of Juan Bernat. His first goal he scored six minutes after entering the field, and the last – after 8 minutes and 59 seconds after that.

Lewandowski set a record Bundesliga – yet no one player does not manage to score five goals in such a short period of time. First he scored three goals in four minutes, and the hat-trick was also the fastest in the history of the Bundesliga.

Also in the final of Euro 2016 from Group D left the German team at home outplayed Georgia with the score 2: 1. The Germans in the 23rd time in a row came in the final of a major international tournament. Barrier UEFA EURO and World Championship team in Germany successfully overcomes already for 47 years.
