FIFA pushed Platini from the preparation for the World Cup in Russia

Today in Zurich held an emergency meeting of the executive committee of FIFA.

Members of the Committee agreed on a number of measures to strengthen the power of the body and increase the transparency of the investigation, which is currently in the ethics committee of FIFA. Key decisions of the Executive Committee:

1. Election of the President of FIFA will not be transferred. The elected FIFA Congress will be held on 26 February 2016, as planned earlier.

2. The Ethics Committee will publish more information about the investigation against Blatter and other officials. The corresponding amendment included in the rules of investigation.

3. The Board clarified the rules for admission to the FIFA presidential ouster of candidates . Officials in respect of which the February 26 will operate a ban on football-related activities, will not be admitted to the election. If the ban is lifted before that date, the election committee will make a separate decision on each such candidate.

4. The Executive Committee expressed its intention to develop a “roadmap” to strengthen the tattered reputation of FIFA. «It is important that we take a new course before the election of the next head of the FIFA”, – said the acting president Issa Hayatou.

5. Angel Maria Villar was replaced by Michel Platini at the head of the organizing committee on preparation for the FIFA 2018 World Cup. Villar holds the post of first vice-president of UEFA, Michel Platini his boss suspected of illegally obtaining 2 million Swiss francs from Blatter.

6. The next meeting of the Executive Committee will take place on 2 and 3 December in Zurich.
