Amsterdam authorities plan to rename the stadium “Ajax” in the “Johan Cruyff Arena” – Eurosport


         Home stadium “Ajax” and the national team of the Netherlands Football “Amsterdam Arena” in the near future may become “Johan Cruyff Arena”.
       

         The city authorities intend to take seriously the idea to rename the stadium in honor of the three-time winner of the “Golden Ball”, the initiative has been widely discussed in the local media and social networks.
       

  • As a player Cruyff played for the Dutch club “Ajax” and “Feyenoord”, the Spanish “Barcelona” and “Levante”, the US “Los Angeles Aztecs” and “Washington.”

  •              
  • For the national team of the Netherlands Cruyff scored 33 goals in 48 matches, wins bronze at Euro 1976 and Vice World Champion 1974.
