SHipulin won silver in the final of World Cup

Russian Anton SHipulin finished second in the sprint in the final stage of the World Cup in Khanty Mansiysk.

On the two firing lines SHipulin did not allow a single miss, breaking the distance of 7.5 km for exactly 24 minutes. In the final minutes, he conceded only Frenchman Martin Fourcade, giving him 13 seconds.

Third place went to German Benedikt Doll, not close one of the targets at the shooting “standing” and lost to the winner of 18.3 seconds. In the top six were also Andrew Rastorgouev from Latvia, Nathan Smith and Canadian German Arnd Peiffer.

In the overall World Cup Frenchman scored 993 points and became virtually inaccessible to competitors. Theoretically, it can only get ahead SHipulin, ranks second ( 876). Third in the general classification is Slovenian Jakov Fak ( 823).

In order to guarantee a fourth consecutive Big Crystal Globe, Fourcade enough in the remaining two races of the season ( persecution and mass start) scored 4 points, the equivalent of 37-th place in one of them.
