Mutko questioned as the British anti-doping – BBC Russian

Russia’s sports minister Vitaly Mutko said that the statements of British athletes, accusing Russian winners of the Olympic Games in London doping testify only about the poor quality of the work of the British anti-doping laboratories.

In conversation with Interfax news agency the minister said that the London Olympics employs local system of doping control, and every medalist compulsorily tested before receiving the medal.

“And if today you accuse our athletes, so, sorry, your the system is zero, and worse our “- said Mutko.

The Minister also commented on the statement by the head of the Football Association of England Greg Dyke, is intended to avoid Mutko of the executive committee of FIFA due to a scandal involving the possible use of doping by Russian athletes.

According to Mutko, this claim is absurd, and with the same success he may require the elimination of all British FIFA Football Federation.

The scandal around the Russian athletes broke out earlier this week. An independent commission of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published a report which accused Russia of systematic violations related to doping.

The Commission has recommended to remove all Russian athletes from the competition temporarily revoke the license of Moscow’s anti-doping laboratory and the discharge of Work chapter FSUE “Anti-Doping Center” Gregory Rodchenkova.

The Russian side said that the Commission cited many allegations are not supported by strong evidence. At the same time Mutko said that Russia refers to the report with respect and is ready to fulfill the requirements set out therein.
