The famous footballer in the past Moscow “Spartak” Fyodor Cherenkov died on Saturday at the 56th year of his life, said the agency “R-Sport” with reference to the ex-player “red-white” Yegor Titov.

“At 4 am dead Fyodor Cherenkov,” – wrote in his microblog Titov in Twitter. Cuttings stood for “Spartacus” from 1977 to 1990, as well as in 1991 and 1993. In the national championship held 366 games and scored 89 goals in the championship of Russia – 32 games and 6 goals. From 1979 to 1990 he played 34 meetings and scored 12 times for the national team of the USSR. Also from 1990 to 1991, he played for the French “Red Star”.

Cherenkov three times won the championship of the Soviet Union, for once the championship and the Cup of Russia, twice voted the best player of the USSR, and in 1989 received the title of Honored Master of Sports USSR. In the USSR national team, he won the bronze medal of the Olympic Games in 1980 in Moscow.

After playing career Cherenkov in different years worked as a coach and principal of the youth of “Spartacus.” Recently Cherenkov worked at the academy, “Spartacus”, which was named after him.
