The stewards may permit to use physical force to protect public order at stadiums – Ekho Moskvy radio station

This initiative was made of the Russian Football Union.

The stewards must undergo special training – said “Echo of Moscow” Chairman of the Committee of the RFU for Security and work with fans Alexander Chekalin.

Sami fans say that changes in the law relating to the stewards, are beyond the competence of the RAF. The initiative itself is still under construction – said “Echo of Moscow” the head of the Russian Union of fans Alexander Shprygin.

According to Shprygin, football clubs are now forced to hire staff and stewards and security companies. Earlier, sports minister Vitaly Mutko said that the stewards may soon replace police officers on the Russian stadiums.
