The youth Russian national hockey team third tournament in a row will play against Sweden in the semifinals of the World Cup. Both previous times stronger than it was the Scandinavians, and the last Russian victory at the world championships on them happened four years ago in Buffalo in the semifinals of the tournament.
The key semifinal match should be a game of unequal structures, which are the clear favorite Swedes. They successfully play every second majority and the minority, while playing 4 to 5, has never missed a single puck. The main threat will come from William Nylander, who at the World Championships in Canada has already given seven assists, Oscar Lindblom, who can play well on finishing, and defender Gustaf Forslinga.
The semifinal match between Russia and Sweden will take place on the night of Sunday to Monday, Moscow time, and will begin at midnight. The winner of this match will play a day later in the World Cup finals.
